Biomedical Raman Imaging Workshop 2026

Raman imaging has become an indispensable tool for investigating the molecular composition and dynamics of biological systems. Recent advances in instrumentation, imaging methodologies, computational analysis, and artificial intelligence are continuously expanding its capabilities, enabling increasingly sensitive, quantitative, and multidimensional molecular imaging. At the same time, integration with complementary optical techniques and chemical biology is creating new opportunities for studying complex biological phenomena.

The Biomedical Raman Imaging Workshop aims to bring together researchers from spectroscopy, microscopy, biology, chemistry, engineering, physics, and data science to exchange the latest developments in biomedical Raman imaging. The workshop will provide an interactive forum for discussing emerging technologies, sharing new applications, and fostering interdisciplinary collaborations.

The scientific program will feature invited lectures, contributed presentations, and poster sessions covering a broad range of topics, including Raman instrumentation, imaging technologies, data analysis, molecular probes, and biological applications. In addition, participants will have the opportunity to experience hands-on demonstrations of Raman/SRS imaging systems developed at the University of Osaka, providing practical insights into advanced measurement techniques and their implementation.

The workshop will also feature an industrial exhibition and networking events, providing opportunities for interactions among researchers and between academia and industry.
We hope that this workshop will inspire new ideas, encourage collaborations across disciplines, and strengthen the biomedical Raman imaging community.
